What is canine anxiety?
Most trainers and behaviourists define it as fear or phobia triggered by specific stimuli. This can often be sound or movement-related — from loud sounds like shouting or fireworks to moving traffic or sudden physical action — but equally, it could stem from a negative development experience with which the dog associates. More specifically, separation anxiety can be a reaction to being left alone which results in isolation distress — exhibited behaviour initiated by separation from one or more human carers.
