For many of us, the kitchen is the most important room in our home. From a functional place to hone your cookery skills to a space for entertaining friends and family, it really is the heart of the home. Making sure that this hard-working space is the perfect fit for you is Wren Kitchens’ number one priority. No matter the size or layout of your kitchen, Wren will closely work with you to create a tailor-made design that suits your lifestyle.

To see how Wren collaborates with each of their customers to create bespoke designs, check out Bianca’s kitchen transformation. Her home is part of the #Wrenovation series, which shines a spotlight on real customer kitchen renovations.

STEP ONE When Bianca moved into her home, she found a receipt for the original kitchen dating from 1977, and when she went to her local Wren Kitchens showroom she was on the hunt for a beautiful kitchen that would last just as long. While she didn’t have any set ideas, as soon as Bianca saw the Metallic Night Milano units in the showroom, she knew this would be a great foundation for the style of her kitchen. However, having just replastered the walls and made her kitchen a blank canvas, she didn’t know where to start with the layout.

STEP TWO Upon selecting the true handleless Milano range, Bianca used Wren’s Virtual Reality (VR) headset to see how the design and layout would look in her home. ‘It was so important that we did that, as I was finding it difficult to visualise what the design would look like and where everything should be,’ she explains.

After seeing how the dark tones of the Metallic Night units would look in her kitchen, Bianca found the decision-making process much easier, and it gave her the confidence to make a style statement in the space. She opted for Pebble gloss as a secondary colour to add elemental drama in this multi-functional room.

‘When I made my decisions and looked around, it was the exact same as it now looks in

real life! The VR was so realistic I actually went to put my bottle of water on the counter and it fell on the floor,’ she recalls.

STEP THREE Once the kitchen renovation was complete, Bianca was able to reflect on what had inspired the makeover in the first place. ‘I wanted to start cooking and experimenting more in the kitchen,’ she reveals. To achieve this goal, she utilised the space in her new layout and selected a Bosch built-in double oven with a Bosch gas on glass hob, as well as an undercounter wine cooler. ‘The appliances are so high-end and such quality,’ she adds.

Bianca is over the moon with her modernday design from Wren. ‘I’ve definitely got my use out of this kitchen already as it’s such a comfortable and relaxing space to spend time in. It really has become the hub of the home, and I’ve interviewed some pretty famous names here already!’ she says.
