Wren Kitchens went above and beyond for us
Keen to spend more time together as a family, Moniza and Zaki turned to Wren Kitchens to help their open-plan kitchen dreams become reality
With all of us spending more time at home, the role of the kitchen has greatly increased in importance. From a practical place to cook meals for the family to a setting for socialising with friends and home-schooling children, it really is a multi-functional space. Making sure that this hard-working room is the perfect fit for you is Wren Kitchens’ number one priority. No matter the size or layout of your kitchen, Wren will work closely with you to ensure the end result suits you and your family’s lifestyle.

STEP ONE When Moniza, Zaki and their two boys moved into their London home a few years ago, the dated kitchen was just about big enough for cooking and not much more. ‘I was spending way too much time in there preparing food and not being able to speak to friends and family. It wasn’t much fun,’ Moniza recalls. The couple wanted the space to be much more open, social and fit for modern-day family life.
With their new kitchen requirements in hand, Moniza and Zaki visited their local
Wren showroom and were instantly impressed with the quality of the products on offer, the accessibility of the store and how family-friendly the experience was. While taking children to showrooms can be a challenge for families, ‘Wren always settled the children first before offering us tea or coffee. It meant I didn’t have to worry about the boys,’ Moniza explains. This left the couple relaxed and free to concentrate on finding the perfect kitchen.
STEP TWO Moniza fell in love with the woodgrain-effect of the Shaker Forest kitchen in Autumn Harvest, and after seeing a twotone design on her third visit, paired it with an Alchemy Matt island. ‘Our Wren designer was an artist and perfectionist, and I think we needed that,’ says Zaki. ‘Having someone so skilled, backed up with Wren’s virtual reality and quality products to choose from, meant it all fitted together like a glove.’
STEP THREE On the arrival day of their new kitchen, Moniza and Zaki were particularly pleased with how smooth and professional the delivery was. A supervisor ran through the entire article list with the couple before briefing the builders on where best to store the products and the order of construction.
‘My impression of Wren went to another height, as things like that aren’t easy to carry out,’ Zaki says. ‘It just shows how above and beyond Wren went through the entire process.’
With their chosen Bosch appliances in place, including two double ovens, the family now have a kitchen they love. ‘The first thing friends notice is the space,’ smiles Moniza. Cleverly designed around each of their needs, from a place for eating together to entertaining guests and working while watching the kids, the kitchen has become the heart of their home.
