All-purpose sanitiser spray, £2.85 for 500ml, Bio-D
Packed with orange oil to cut through grease and soap scum while leaving a light citric scent on your surfaces, this sanitiser can be used across worktops, sinks, paintwork, ovens and hobs. Gentle to the skin, it didn’t take much elbow grease to scrub our kitchen counters and bathroom taps back to gleaming condition. Its packaging ticks the eco-friendly box, as the bottle, bar the pump, is made from 100 per cent recycled materials.
Lavender & Rosemary eco multi-surface cleaner, £4.25 for 500ml, KINN
Safe to use on all surfaces, this spray is mild but effective. Made with pure essential oils and plantbased ingredients, it has natural anti-bacterial properties so you can expect glistening worktops in no time at all. The delicate Lavender & Rosemary scent is delightfully calming or if you prefer citrus, there’s also a Sweet Orange version. Although not refillable yet, the bottles are 100 per cent recyclable except for the pump and spray.
Biological multi-purpose cleaner starter pack, £8.99, Clean Living
This 100 per cent biodegradable cleaner is very gentle but strong enough to tackle hardy spillages with little exertion. Ideal for those with sensitivities, it’s lightly scented and free from any harsh chemicals. This one wins for eco-friendliness – you’ll receive a microfibre cloth, a 300ml reusable aluminium spray bottle and a 30ml concentrate in a recyclable sachet, so there’s minimal waste. Clean Living offers a replenishment service, so you can get refills delivered to your door at the right time!
Anti-bac allpurpose cleaner, £3 for 828ml, Method
A little goes a long way with this cleaner, so it really is great value for money. It cleans well, killing 99.9 per cent of bacteria, but make sure not to be too spray-happy as soapy residue may build up. You won’t have any need for room sprays after using this as its wild rhubarb scent lasts for several hours.
The packaging is pretty green, as the bottle, minus the pump, is made from 100 per cent recycled plastic!
