For summer, don’t stick to the standard animal-print colourways, mix it up a bit with some muted tones or vibrant shades – think leopard print in mint green for your bedding, or steer away from the safari theme altogether and opt for a timeless nautical look with Sophie Allport’s lobster-print tableware. Head of Product Design at I Love Wallpaper, Alice Henderson, thinks that the key to success when mixing animal prints is to run one consistent theme throughout: ‘When clashing wallpaper designs, pick a matching colour to tie the room together. Try to stick to two variations of mixed patterns so that the space doesn’t become too busy and accessorise with solid complementary
colours throughout. If you want to soften the transition between prints, use a muted palette to pare down the clash’.
