Cushion cover Crochet ribbon Needle and thread Cream embroidery floss Cream felt, 1mm thick

1 Measure a third of the way down from the top edge of the cushion cover then unpick the seams along both of the sides to the approximat­e width of your crochet ribbon. Cut a length of ribbon about 2cm longer than the width of the cushion. Insert the ends of the ribbon into the gaps in the seams, pin together and then stitch the seams back up.

2 Make tassels following steps one and two for the hanging planter. Tie extra knots into the hanging tab. Pin each of the tassels at regular intervals under the bottom of the crochet lace until happy with the placement.

3 Using a matching thread colour, stitch the crochet ribbon and tassels onto the front of the cushion cover. Make sure you catch the tabs of the tassels with your stitching to ensure they are firmly attached to the cover.
