Wild and free

Adopting a wildlife-friendly feel in your garden is easy if your space already has a meadow charm. Nature thrives best in wild gardens; wild flowers such as buttercups, greater knapweed and clover will attract and support bees and butterflies. Echinacea purpurea are perennial plants with nectarrich blooms that flower from now until September, and their pink petal flowers would look stunning planted in borders. Get the kids involved by picking and pressing flowers and recording all the different varieties of insects they spot in the garden.
