Makeover magic

-

As has been the case for many of us, lockdown has given me the time to spruce up several areas of the house. One that had always been a particular quandary was what to do with our 1990s marble fireplace. We didn’t want to knock it out as it would be expensive to replace. So, I painted the wooden mantel and hearth in Frenchic Wedding Cake and cut some vinyl stick-on floor tiles from B&Q to fit around the fire. It all came to the grand total of £26! I think it has totally transformed it and I’m over the moon with the result! Debbie Briggs, by email

Your Home says: It’s amazing what a bit of paint and some tiles can do! We’re so impressed with your fireplace transformation,

Debbie – the end result is so elegant.
