WHO LIVES HERE? I’m Claire Orchard, 50, I own a dog grooming business and I live in a 1930s bungalow in Kent with my husband, Guy, 51.

WHAT WAS UPDATED?

We repaired a dilapidated studio at the bottom of our garden – it needed a complete renovation to be usable.

WHY THE CHANGE?

I love crafting and gardening, so I wanted a studio room that I could be creative in, as well as an extra space for socialising in the summer.

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE?

The project took nine months on and off, with us mostly working on it during weekends.
