Caring about the planet starts with our smallest creatures. This multi-storey bug hotel will provide a place for solitary bees to lay their eggs and hibernate during winter.

HOW TO MAKE IT Wash out and fill old cans with hollow reeds, stems or rolled-up cardboard tubes, all trimmed to the same length. Arrange them in a frame, or slot into gaps between walls and fences. Ensure the tin cans are sloped slightly downwards to prevent rainwater collecting inside them.
