Rather than spending hours scrubbing rust rings off bathroom surfaces, there’s a simple trick to prevent them. Next time you buy an aluminium can for the bathroom, apply a layer of clear top-coat nail varnish to the bottom. Leave the can to dry on its side. The nail varnish acts as a waterproof barrier, leaving no unsightly rings. Ta da!
