STEP INSIDE...

WHO LIVES HERE? Clare Blacklaw, my husband, Steven, and our three children, Megan, Lewis and Arthur. We live in a three-bedroom rental property in Edinburgh.

WHAT WAS UPDATED? We injected character into the hallway of our rental home with décor that can be easily changed when we move out.

WHY THE CHANGE? The previous hallway was plain white, and lacked personality and character, so we wanted to make it a cheerful, welcoming space.

HOW LONG DID IT TAKE? The makeover was quite a gradual, stop-start process over a year or so I’d say, as I did it all myself and just had to do little bits at a time, here and there, to fit it all in around looking after the kids!
