1 Roll out some clay to make four large marble-sized balls and five small marblesized balls. Mould the larger balls into the letters LOVE and the small balls into little heart shapes. Smooth out the edges, then poke a central hole into the top and bottom edges of all the letters and four of the hearts, and just the top of the remaining heart. You need this hole to be large enough to fit twine through. Allow to dry completely.
2 Apply a base coat of white acrylic to each shape and allow to dry. Paint each letter with small floral motifs and the smaller heart shapes in solid colours. See our main image for inspiration, or create your own designs.
3 Thread the twine through the holes of the letters and hearts (a large-eyed needle may help with this), alternating letters and hearts and finishing with the heart with the single hole. Tie at the back and trim the twine ends. Tie a loop through the top for hanging.
