WE ARE Sushma Samonini, 38, a data storage consultant, and Shaun Samonini, 35, a musician and nutritionist. We have a little boy, Avery, three, and we are currently expecting our second child.

OUR HOME IS A four-bedroom, 1930s semi-detached property in Buckhurst

Hill, Essex.

OUR BEST IDEA Was to turn the upstairs loo into a utility room. It’s so convenient having the washing machine and dryer tucked away upstairs.

OUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE Was living through the upstairs renovation with a two-year-old while sleeping in the living room. It was hard living in such a limited space with dust everywhere. But worth it!
