Greek Saganaki

YOU WILL NEED

8 tbsp olive oil 1 vegan filo pastry sheet 1 pack Violife Greek White block 50g sesame seeds Maple syrup, to taste

DIRECTIONS

■ In a deep frying pan, gently heat 6 tbsp olive oil over a medium heat.

■ Roll out one pastry sheet, fold in half and place the Violife Greek White block in the centre. Fold in the sides and create a small pocket to enclose the Greek White block. Seal the edges by brushing with 2 tbsp olive oil.

■ When the oil in the pan is bubbling, carefully place the pastry pocket in the frying pan. Fry for 1-2 minutes, checking the colour as you go. When it is golden, use a spatula to flip it over.

■ Fry for another 1-2 minutes and then remove with a slotted spoon. Place on a kitchen towel to absorb any excess oil.

■ Serve while still hot and garnish with sesame seeds and a generous drizzle of maple syrup.
