COME ON IN...

WE ARE Gemma John, 42, an Interior Designer (alpineroseinteriors.co.uk), my husband, Henry, 44, a Commercial Manager, and our daughter, Rosie, 11, and son, Noah, eight.

OUR HOME IS a four-bedroom, 1930s detached house in Enfield, north London, which we bought in May 2019.

MY BEST BARGAINS ARE the original 1930s pendant lights above the dining table. These were just £30 each from a lovely local vintage shop called 171 Retro. With new fittings from Dowsing & Reynolds, they look rather smart.

MY FAVOURITE ROOM I spend most of my time in the kitchen. I just love how well the space works for us a family, especially the walk-in pantry where I hide and eat chocolate! I also love our bedroom.
