THE DAY BEFORE:
This is where your organisational skills are be put to the test. Your horse needs to be bathed and you have to have everything packed ready to go for the early morning start. It’s well worth creating a checklist, so that you arrive at the show with everything you need – including your horse!
Bath time
When it comes to bath time, a human ‘shower puff’ removes stains with ease and makes light work of getting into those awkward areas. They also help to avoid wasting any of the product as you can pour the shampoo into the centre of the shower puff and apply it directly onto your horse.
Keeping him clean
If you’re planning to give your horse a full bath the day before, make sure he’s thoroughly dry before putting him back in his stable or out in the field, as he’s bound to roll. Put on a lightweight rug to help keep him clean.
Shine like a star
NETTEX Coat Shine will give his coat a wonderful glossy finish without too much elbow grease, but remember to avoid the saddle and bridle area – you don’t want them slipping off!
Tangle-free tail
Spray on NETTEX Mane & Tail Detangler before combing through his mane and tail; it can be used on wet or dry hair. If your horse has fine hair, avoid brushing his tail every day – simply spray on the detangler and work through with your fingers. This way he will still have some tail left!
No more stains
