Your Horse (UK) - - Better Riding -

For this part of the exercise you need to raise all the poles on the diagonal (b) a few inches off the ground. Ride a figure of eight again, negotiating the poles and continuing round to the fan (a). In rising trot, start a figure of eight from the bottom right corner of your arena and: l1 Ride over the poles on the diagonal (b), keeping your head up and your hands low. l2 Continue the figure of eight round to the fan of poles (a) and trot over them. l3 Trot between the poles on the diagonal (b). l4 Repeat the exercise on the other rein. Ride deeper into the corners of the school if you want to extend or collect the trot. Cool down your horse by walking him around the arena for five minutes on a long rein, in both directions.
