‘I’m legally blind’

Australian challenger Candy Chester has already smashed the 100 miles marker on her Arabian mare Miss ZZ, all the more impressive when you consider that she is registered blind. “I can’t see the ground or my horses ears,” says Candy, who lives in Victoria. “Once in trot, I can’t see at all. I love cantering through the bush following the sounds of my guide rider Mat and his trusty trotter River. “We’ve had a lot of adventures so far, discovering new trails in the mighty Red Gum forests where we live. “Achieving 100 miles has been special; my dream is to compete in endurance.”
