THE RIDE

-

On the day of our testing, we were lucky to have the inventor of the Synchronicity System, Graham Cross, with us, together with five riders who had volunteered to give the system a go. You only need to ride for 30 seconds before the system has enough data to give you feedback. We asked each of our riders to ride a figure of eight in walk, trot and then in canter (with a change of lead through trot). Each pace was programmed into the app as a separate ‘ride’ — this is best done before you get on board. When you’re ready to start using the system you need to sync it with the app — when it turns blue you’re ready to go. Data is only collected once you’ve pressed the big blue button, then once you’ve finished your ride in your chosen pace, press the button again to finish. Repeat for the next ride you’ve programmed into the app and so on. Our five volunteers repeated this process for each of their three rides. All of them managed to operate the Synchronicity System without any problems and didn’t feel that it interferred with or restricted their riding position.
