‘I like the challenges!’

Another of our fantastic challengers has romped through the finishing post super-quick. Well done Melanie Van Kampen de Jong and Stunner. “I began the challenge at the start of the summer,” says Melanie. “I do lots of hacking, enjoying the peace it gives me and the chance to focus 100% on Stunner too. “I live in Holland and often hack out with my husband, who comes along on his quad bike. This year we hacked for a few days in Germany — it’s a great bonding experience. “I also do a spot of dressage but hacking is my thing. I like the challenges we come across, like crossing a river that had no bridge. “I’ve had Stunner for eight years. I was told she was unrideable and unreliable, but just look at her now.”
