1 ON REPEAT

Horses learn by repetition, so it’s really important with a young or novice showjumper to repeat exercises regularly and correctly. By tackling the same combinations and courses often, you’ll soon find this will really help to build your horse’s confidence. If your horse doesn’t understand what you’re asking him after the sixth attempt, move onto something easier that he does understand. Once he learns something, reinforce it by repeating it the following day to ensure he fully understands what you require.
