THE SYMPTOMS

A horse suffering from atypical myopathy will show any of the following symptoms:

Muscle soreness Stiffness Muscle tremors Sweating Weakness, lethargy Increased respiratory rate and breathing may be laboured Reluctance to move Red or brown urine (due to muscle being broken down) Colic Choke Increased heart rate (may be irregular) Recumbency Sudden death
