CAROLINE HAS FIVE TOP TIPS FOR WINTER HACKING

Your Horse (UK) - - Horse Talk - Visit endurancegb.co.uk for more info.

1 Inject some fun into it by hacking with friends. Combine a hack with a visit to the pub and invite your family and non-horsey friends to join you there for a drink. Your horse can have a nibble of grass, so it’s nice for him too. 2 Use the Viewranger app to find new routes — Caroline has found some beautiful routes to explore using this app. If you’re boxing there, check out the parking arrangements beforehand. 3 Join your local group of Endurance GB and enjoy some fun rides. The Christmas rides are fabulous and usually involve mulled wine and nibbles. 4 Set a goal. It doesn’t have to be a 120-mile ride like Caroline’s, but having something to aim for will keep you going. How about using #Hack1000miles as your goal — how many miles can you get through during the winter months? 5 Remember, hacking is an excuse to spend lots of time with your horse.
