WANT TO VISIT one of the UK’s premier equestrian sporting and social events — the 2020 Equerry Bolesworth Internatio­nal Horse Show?

We’re offering 12 readers the chance to win a pair of season tickets, worth £40 each, giving access to the show for all six days, 9 to 14 June. It’s the perfect excuse for a break — you can even camp on site. This year’s event brings together a fusion of world-class sport, lifestyle and hospitalit­y as the show enters a new era. Held in the stunning surrounds of Bolesworth Castle in the Cheshire countrysid­e, there’s a packed line-up of competitio­n featuring many leading riders from home and abroad.

The 2020 show is set to be a truly memorable event with top showjumper­s vying for honours in such legendary classes as the 1.60m Equerry Grand Prix and the heart-stopping Puissance.

Bolesworth is now a firm fixture in the internatio­nal dressage calendar too, and competitio­n will start on the afternoon of Tuesday 9 June. Immerse yourself in the finest displays of dressage, complete with workshops and masterclas­ses from leading internatio­nal riders.

Wednesday sees the climax of the CDI 3*, the Freestyle, with major stars of the sport dancing up the leaderboar­d to take the honours. A number of riders are using the show as part of their Olympic campaign. Business at Bolesworth will be the focus on Thursday with the event creating an environmen­t for success. Gents Day takes place on the Friday with fantastic food and drink, fast horses and even faster cars! After the close of the day’s sporting competitio­n, the Bolesworth Elite Yearling Auction takes place — always one of the highlights of the show.

On to Saturday and it’s time for Ladies

Day. Dress to impress for a day of fabulous food, retail therapy and the latest fashion.

Following the crowd favourite and edge of the seat Puissance class, why not move on to dance the night away in Club Boles? On Sunday, the final day of the show, the major focus is the Equerry Grand Prix, won last year by Belgium’s Rik Hemeryck. It’s an explosive day of action, featuring the most competitiv­e riders of the week.
