What to watch for
Be careful that your horse doesn’t fall out on one rein or become stiff. The curved lines will help you to assess if he favours one shoulder over the other. If he does, ride more with your body to encourage him to follow you. Allow him to stretch his head and neck out and down, then he’ll be less inclined to lean through one shoulder.
Because of all the bending required, he may struggle with regularity of stride. To help him, either stay on one rein for familiarity and repetition, make your turns less tight, or go back to walk.
