IT’S BEEN A tough year and some Christmas celebrations may be a bit limited, but we would like to take the opportunity to wish you and your horse the very best for the festive season and for the coming year. We would also like to thank all our customers for continuing to pick the bedding you trust to keep your horses healthy and happy in their stables during this very difficult year. This is exactly why we have been making BEDMAX and LITTLEMAX shavings to our own unique formula for the past 20 years, and the support you have given us has made it all worthwhile.
Landmark year
Back at the start of 2020 we were planning our 20th anniversary celebrations, looking forward to the big equestrian events like Badminton and Burghley, which use Bedmax for the competitors’ horses, and Your Horse Live, where we meet our customers face to face. We were looking forward to supplying Bedmax for the horses at the Tokyo Olympics in the summer too. Instead, we’ve spent the past months keeping our three factories operating safely at full production to enable retailers to supply their customers and building our stocks for the winter surge in demand.
A whole year without those fantastic events has been pretty devastating for the whole equestrian world, not just because we miss seeing the world’s best horses in action, but because we miss the contact with thousands of people who keep and ride their horses simply for the love of them, just like us.
Best care possible
What hasn’t changed during the year is the daily regime of care we all give our horses. We’re now into the winter season when your horse is coming in for the night and, as the evenings get colder, he will be waiting at the gate, looking forward to a warm stable and his evening feed.
Over the past 20 years, Bedmax has continued to spread the message that good quality bedding really does make a big difference to your horse’s health and wellbeing in the stable. Thousands of owners who want the best for their horses have listened, and purpose-made, properly dust-extracted shavings are now the most popular form of equine bedding in the UK.
Even in this toughest of years, we’ve seen production and sales of Bedmax reaching record levels, and that makes up for missing our birthday party, knowing that more horses are coming in this winter to a healthy, comfortable bed of Bedmax shavings.
Throughout the year we’ve continued to invest in new technology and production innovations that keep our standards of quality rising and our environmental impact falling. We’ll be kicking on with more developments in the new year, looking forward beyond the virus and hoping that we’ll see you at Badminton, Burghley or Your Horse Live 2021.
