Costly ap­point­ments

■ I find it so an­noy­ing when peo­ple don’t turn up to their ap­point­ments with ei­ther their doc­tor, den­tist, nurse or con­sul­tant. Don’t they re­alise that this costs money to what is now a strug­gling NHS? If they at least just can­celled, the ap­point­ment could go to another pa­tient who may be wait­ing a long time. We need to start tak­ing re­spon­si­bil­ity for our health and be more aware of what you can do to save doc­tors’ time and the NHS money. El­iz­a­beth Richards, Haver­ford­west
