New birds on the block!

Bri­tain is be­com­ing home to an in­creas­ing va­ri­ety of bird species be­cause of cli­mate change, ex­perts say. Re­search by the

RSPB and Nat­u­ral Eng­land says there are many more win­ners than losers from an in­crease of al­most 1°C in the UK’s av­er­age tem­per­a­ture since the Eight­ies. Night herons, Dart­ford war­blers, cat­tle egrets and black-winged stilts are among species that have ei­ther set up home, or are far­ing bet­ter.
