YOURS (UK) - - Grandparents Special -

Improved travel has of course made it easier for us to get around, even if we now live further away from our grandchildren, and you said having a car was a big difference to your own grans who relied on walking and public transport to visit you and to take you to places for days out.

Technology was also a big change, as you said it improved communication with your grandchildren, allowing you to contact them and feel a greater part of their lives, thanks to phone calls, texting, social media and technologies such Facetime, although some of you did mention that technology could become a barrier to relationships if children become distracted by it instead of enjoying quality time with their gran.
