THE GENEROSITY GENE?
If you remember getting a shilling off your gran each week, most likely with a warning not to spend it all at the sweet shop, you’d be among the 30% of readers who said their grandparents regularly gave them pocket money. That compares to just 22% of modern grans who give their grandchildren pocket money today. Interestingly, we discovered that it’s those grans who were given pocket money as children who are more likely to be giving their grandchildren pennies (and pounds!) to spend today.
