Exercising hard enough to get sweaty on a regular basis actually makes your hippocampus bigger – that’s the bit of your brain that helps you learn

….Sit down less

people who spend a large part of their day sitting have greater thinning in the areas of their brain that are responsible for making new memories, compared to people who are more active. The US researchers who carried out the study think this could be due to the fact that physical activity increases blood to your brain, which, in turn, helps the growth of new nerve cells and offsets cognitive decline. Which should mean the less time you sit, the fewer senior moments you’ll have. Try to get up and move for ten minutes every hour.
