Jennifer Earle is an internationallyrecognised chocolate expert who has featured in national and international press, radio and television. Founder of the Chocolate Ecstasy Tours, and one of the UK’s top chocolate experts, she will guide you through the origin of chocolate, including a tasting of some of her favourite bean-to-bar makers!
Tea & memories
Brian Norris will explain how collecting trinkets can create a box of memories, with his Memory Treasure Box concept. Using some of the programmes from the archive film collection of Greenpark Productions, he’ll describe how they’re being used by the Living Memories community interest company to trigger memories and stimulate conversation with older people, particularly those
living with dementia.
Come and pet the alpacas!
Wendy, who owns a smallholding with sheep and an elderly pig, decided to buy a few alpacas to help guard her baby lambs from the foxes. Now the brood has grown, she brings these calm and placid-natured animals to care homes to help spread comfort and joy. They’ve even been ring-bearers at weddings! Come meet and greet this herd of characterful alpacas!
Pony projects
Dawn Westcott and her husband, Nick, will tell us how they run the Exmoor Pony Project, helping give the free-born Moorland Exmoor foals a good start in life. Dawn is also an author of richly illustrated books with photographs and stories about orphan foals and the joy of winning the trust of these wonderful ponies, such as Wild Herd Whispering, Wild Pony Whispering and Wild Stallion Whispering.
