My husband is interested in Second World War aircraft, an interest he passed on to our sons. We recently visited family who live not far from an airfield. While playing in their garden our two-year-old grandson, Jake, looked up as a plane appeared and shouted excitedly: “Spitfire, Gandad!” We were amazed, his daddy was thrilled and you can imagine how chuffed ‘Gandad’ was!
