■ Here I am with my husband Cliff, who was a Royal Marine. We were celebrating our recent engagement on a visit to Blackpool. As we walked down The Golden Mile, I was astonished when people started to treat him like a celebrity – he was a bit of a novelty!

■ I just love this precious photo of my parents, Beryl and Frank Kendall, on their honeymoon in Jersey. Mum always dressed stylishly and my dad often wore a tie. They are now 87 and 90 and will be celebrating their 66th anniversary this month.

■ This is me and my husband on our wedding day. My dress, with white bell-sleeves in a satinlook material, was made by my mother – she was a wonderful seamstress!
Barbara Brayford, East London
■ Here I am with my husband of 58 years at his company’s Christmas dinner dance in London. We were both 19 years old at the time. My dress was made from brown taffeta with a net underskirt – I loved it! Mrs Maureen Mewitt, Hertfordshire
