HELPING YOU MAKE THE RIGHT CARE DECISION
If the time’s come when you or a loved one needs a bit more support, Eldercare’s new expert care advice service can guide you towards the very best options
If you, or someone you love, need a bit more support it can be difficult to know which way to turn. Navigating the care system can be bit of a maze, especially if you’re going through all this for the first time.
That’s why Eldercare are launching a brand new service, offering expert care advice for their customers and their families or carers who are seeking extra support. And the service is totally free for those who choose a personal alarm with Eldercare.
Thanks to this service, you’ll be able to call and speak to trained advisors who will listen to your needs and wishes and from there, give information and advice to help you make more informed decisions about what to do next.
They’ll be able to advise you on the different kinds of care available as well as sources of support from the local authority, voluntary and private sectors. They’ll also look at the pros and cons of different care options and what to look for when selecting the best care providers in your area.
What’s more they’ll talk you through whether you might be eligible for funding, or any particular benefits, that could help pay for your care, or for adaptations to your home, for example. After the call, they’ll then send you all the information you may need so you can sit down with your family and take the first step towards better care together.
Eldercare’s Care Advice and Guidance Service, which starts this October, is FREE and complimentary to all customers who choose their popular personal alarm service, and their carers.
With this service, making a decision on your care, whether that’s just a bit more help around the house or a bigger change, needn’t be a headache. Instead, armed with the advice of your experts, you’re in charge to take control and make a more informed choice about what’s going to make you more independent, give your family peace of mind and ultimately make you happier.
And if you feel it’s time to think about residential or nursing care, the expert team will be on hand to commission indepth research, unique to you, to find the most suitable care providers for your needs, using their extensive knowledge and contacts, but there is a fee for this part of the service. Whatever your situation Eldercare advisors will help find the right path for you.
■ Eldercare’s advice line is open 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday and is FREE for all personal alarm users and their carers. Just call 0345 603 4576 for general advice and a dedicated advisor will then call you back at a pre-arranged time to discuss your situation.
