PRESSED FLOWERS

Breathe life into an old lampshade by decorating it with pressed grasses and flowers. Collect some delicate blooms from your garden; pansies, daisies and cornflowers work well. Collect some thick grasses or leaves, too, to add interest. Place your foliage between two sheets of paper and put under a number of heavy books. Leave for a few days, then remove. Use some strong glue to attach your flowers to the outside of your lampshade. Once lit, your naturally decorated light will project the intricate patterns of your flora all over the house.
