REAL LIFE STORY

Celia Smith -

-

After a temporary stay in a care home, retired funeral director and Yours reader Celia Smith was adamant she wanted to live in her London home and maintain her independence. Celia has multiple sclerosis and needs regular care and assistance.

“Some friends suggested equity release so I decided to look into it. Key were so helpful and arranged a meeting with one of their advisers to discuss my circumstances and find the best plan for me. I struggle to walk so their home visits were very handy.

“I was impressed at how stress-free the whole process was,” explained Celia.

“My two children were involved and supported me all the way. They came to the meetings and met with my local adviser before I went ahead.

“It’s made a huge difference to my life; the money has helped pay for carers at home and I’ve been able to adapt my home so I can remain living in it.”
