When acting as a support system for someone, you should also keep your own wellbeing in mind. It can be very draining to help someone through a bereavement and to see them so upset. To ensure your own mental health is not affected, Nicola suggests keeping a diary of how you are feeling on a day-to-day basis to help you keep things in perspective.
