Don’t miss the PPI deadline
If you were mis-sold payment protection insurance (PPI), you now have until August 29, 2019 to claim compensation. These policies were sold alongside loans and credit cards and were meant to cover repayments if you couldn’t work because of illness or redundancy. In most cases, PPI was mis-sold. People either couldn’t claim (because they were self-employed or had an existing medical condition) or didn’t even realise they’d been sold PPI. You don’t need to use a claims company (who will charge for their services) – complain directly to the bank or credit card company you had the PPI policy with.
