Before you travel, download these apps on your smart phone:

Google Maps

You can access maps, even when offline. Just search for the area, tap the three horizontal lines in the top left and select ‘offline maps’. When you go back to your phone, these maps will be saved in the ‘offline areas’ tab.

Packpoint

Put in your destination, dates and planned activities and this app will work out what to include on your packing list.

TripAdvisor

You can search quickly for the best restaurants, hotels, and much more based on people’s real reviews.

Google Translate Translate words on the go. You can even take a photo of foreign text, for example a menu, and it will translate before your eyes.
