✒ I overheard my grandson Finley (6) ask his mum for an iPad for Christmas. He was told they were too much money. I had to laugh when Finley replied: “It’s ok Mum, I’ll also give some of my money to Santa for it.”

Bless him. T Griffin, Bristol

✒ A high-five from my granddaughter Daisy, who is showing off her first two teeth! Hazel Anderson, Leeds

✒ As my great-grandson Isaac (3½) watched his mum struggle to change the nappy of his fidgeting week-old sister, he brought over a book he’d seen her looking at. “Is this what you need Mummy?’ he asked. The book was How To Be A First Time Mum! He’s going to be a great help, hopefully! Maud Marklin, Halifax

✒ A health visitor came to assess my daughter, aged three, asking: “Where do you put your socks?”“In a drawer,” she replied. I think she was expecting her to say on her feet!
