Get the right holiday cover for you

We spoke to Leanne from Holiday Extras to get her top 5 tips for finding a place for insurance in your holiday budget:

-

Full cover

1 Don’t be tempted to go for the cheap option. There’s not much point having insurance if it has a loophole that won’t cover you for the exact thing you need to claim for. It’s important to us that the people we insure know what Holiday Extras policies cover and what they don’t.

Cruise cover

2 Going on a cruise? There are special insurance policies just for you. They cover you if you get injured and can’t leave your cabin and even if you’re late and miss your ship. Our policies are approved by the Cruise Lines International Association.

Don’t go overboard

3 There’s also no point paying for something you don’t need. Make sure the cover you’re buying is right for you. Holiday Extras offers three types of cover and you can choose from all kinds of options to make sure you don’t pay more than you have to.

Annual cover

4 Going on a few trips this year? Lucky you! Spread the cost by buying an annual travel insurance policy. That way you have insurance all year round for one set price.

Existing conditions cover

5 Travel insurance is great, but not everyone can get it! If you’re an experienced traveller or have a medical condition, you may find a lot of companies don’t want to know. Well, if that’s you, we offer insurance that can cover you up to the age of 84 or if you have a medical condition such as diabetes or cancer. It just takes a phone call to find out if you can get insurance!
