Bird kiss of life

YOURS (UK) - - Meeting Place -

✒ I just had to put pen to paper after reading the recent star letter about the goldfinch that came back to say thank you after being revived. I was in the kitchen when a blue tit crashed into the window. I rushed outside and it looked dead but I quickly picked it up, put some water in a dish and put its little beak in it while holding it in my hand. I gave it a few kisses and kept saying, “come on little fellow”. After several minutes it started rolling its eyes and then I could feel movement in my hand, so I opened it, gave it another kiss and waited. After several minutes sitting on my hand it flew off. My husband came outside and I said, “I’ve just given a little blue tit the kiss of life.”

It was a lovely happy ending. Patricia Howlett, Norwich
