WATCH OUT FOR SCAM TV LICENCE EMAILS
Action Fraud warns that scammers are sending fake emails promising a refund of your TV licence fee. It’s receiving 40 reports of these a day. The emails claim you’ve overpaid on your licence and that TV Licensing hasn’t been able to refund the extra because of incorrect bank details. The email asks you to put your credit card details into a fake TV Licensing website. Don’t fall for it or you could find you’re the victim of fraud. TV Licensing will never ask you for bank or card information by email.
