We reveal our Carer of the Year!
Super carer Sharon Hibberd is off on a dream Revitalise holiday after winning the Yours Carer of the Year competition!
“We at Yours value the fantastic work done by the country’s unpaid carers and we wish that everyone who was nominated could have been a winner.” Yours Reader Care Editor, Rosie Sandall
Sharon, who lives in Swindon, was nominated by her daughter, Amy Donald, who described her as ‘the most selfless person I have ever met’.
Sharon and her husband care for their disabled daughter, Eve (40), who has a rare chromosome disorder. She also helps her father,
John (92), to live independently by visiting him daily to dispense medication, do his housework and take him to appointments.
Sharon (64) wins a fantastic Revitalise holiday and a Betterlife hamper, an Unforgettable Caregiver bundle including a caregiver’s journal,
Book of Calm and
a pack of caregiver’s affirmation cards worth £30. A modest Sharon says: “I’m sure there are many carers who are more worthy winners than I am.”
