Festive Forest card

-

Create a 3D card adorned with pretty pine trees

You will need…

2 x white card blanks 13x18cm (5x7in)

Tree stamps (available from Hobbycraft)

Green and gold ink pad Ruler

Black pen

Glue

Two adhesive gems

1. Cut a 13x18cm (5x7in) blank white card in half along the fold. Place horizontally on the table in front of you. Using the picture as a guide, stamp out trees in green and gold ink.

2. Take the other blank card and make an easel card by cutting 5.5cm (2¼in) off the top. Turn the card so the fold is at the top. Remove a 10mm (½in) strip from the bottom of the card, making a blank card of 12x15cm (4½x6in). Score a horizontal line across the centre of the card front, fold and crease to make a folded slope.

3. Place the easel card blank on a table, and fold back the card front. Stamp another row of trees centrally along the bottom of the inside of the card, using the green and gold ink.

4. Take your original tree stamped card and trim it along the left side to measure 12cm (4½in) across. Trim the top and the bottom slightly so the panel measures 15cm (6in) in height.

5. Use the easel card off-cut to hand write a Christmas greetings caption. Cut a 2cm (¾in) wide banner and use a fine black pen to write your greeting.

6. Take the easel card and apply a glue stick to the lower half of the card front, place the tree panel on top of the card blank to fix in place. Glue the festive banner to the card where shown on the picture (right) and add some gems to the edges of the banner to finish.
