QI’ve rehomed an older dog who needs a lot of medication. I usually get this from the vet, but it’s so expensive. How can I cut costs?
Sandra, Margate Yours says If your pet needs medication, you don’t have to buy it from the vet. A certified online pharmacy such as animeddirect.co.uk may be able to supply you with the same medication at a fraction of the cost. Compare prices online and at renewal ask your vet for just the written prescription, so you can buy the items elsewhere.
QI’ve got some little jobs I’d like done on my house. How can I easily find someone who will charge a reasonable price?

Q I have opened and unopened bottles I bought ages ago on a ‘booze cruise’. Can I still use them? Mrs Hayward, Kent
Yours says Distilled spirits (vodka, rum, whisky, tequila) will not go off in a sealed, unopened bottle, but once open, being exposed to oxygen will eventually deteriorate the taste. Unopened dairy-based liqueurs have a shelf life of about a year. If the contents of opened bottles look and smell OK, do a taste test before deciding what to do with them.
QI always end up with smeary water marks on my windows. Is there a quick and easy way to get rid of them?
