Turn over the top edge and if desired, secure the leather tab as decoration. Studs are available online or from haberdashers. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Care instructions

Follow washing directions on the ball band and leave to dry. Shape while damp. Roll up a hand towel and place in the basket so it keeps its shape while it dries. If you are using the leather tab on the basket, please follow appropriate care instructions. Prefer a larger basket?

These instructions are for a small 10x15cm (4x6in) basket. To make bigger ones, simply cast on more stitches – 60 stitches for medium, for instance, and 80 for a large. You can make the basket as large as you like but, to ensure it remains stable, keep the proportions in a cube shape rather than making it too tall.
