Bug’s Inc.

Around 130 games are publicly known to be in development on the C64, one of these is Bug’s Inc. which is being produced by David Asenjo “Darro99”, known for his 2019 release 4M Arena. Fans of Game & Watch may recall the classic

Green House, this 1982 release placed a can of bug spray in the player's hands with the object to defend his flower garden from enemies such as spiders and worms. Bug’s Inc. is the C64 rendition and will be released to the public for free.

Game & Watch was Darro99's first gaming platform, he holds fond childhood memories and was

inspired to make a faithful adaption of the game. Not only is he bringing this to the mighty C64, he will give it an arcade touch, introducing different levels with homage to the arcades of the 80s.

It's planned that Bug's Inc. will contain five different greenhouses to defend, with each containing 10 levels. Joining the development party is Narciso Quintana “Narcisound” who has composed the music of the game and Lobo, who has made some beautiful graphics to ensure eye candy expectations are well and truly met. Whilst the game is taking much longer than planned, Darro99 is hopeful that it will be released by the end of this year.
